- This presentation was done in conjunction with colleagues from my Korean Fulbright experience, faculty from George Mason University, and the educational attache from the Embassy of South Korea.
June 2012- USIFL Residential Workshop on Chinese History in Global Context (Asian Studies Development Program at the East-West Institute, HI)
- I attended this workshop as part of my involvement with Mercer University's forthcoming regional studies program on East Asia. My project presentation (in conjunction with Dr. Brian Rood (Environmental Studies & Policy at Mercer) and faculty from the University of Texas at El Paso is found below.
- This two-week program is part of a 3-year project funded through a U.S. Department of Education Title VI Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language grant. This project aims at developing a model for “fast-tracking” the integrated development of Chinese language and area studies programs at undergraduate-serving colleges and universities. Partner institutions in the project are: Johnson County Community College (KS); Middlesex Community College (MA); Portland Community College (OR); University of North Carolina, Asheville; University of Texas, El Paso; and Mercer University (GA).
